More than one hundred years ago, the American Cancer Society began the fight against cancer.  Now is the time to finish the fight!  Mix 94.1 and Belden Village Mall remind you that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Join the American Cancer Society in creating awareness ...

  • Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women (excluding skin cancer) and the second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in women.
  • One woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes.
  • Mammography can identify breast cancer at an early stage, usually before physical symptoms develop, when the disease is most treatable.  Yearly mamograms are recommended starting at age 40 and continuing for as long as a women is in good health.
  • Breast Cancer -- if caught in the early stages before it has spread -- has a 98% five year relative survival rate.
  • 2.5 million Breast Cancer survivors are living in the United States today.

Getting a mammogram is one of the best things a woman can do to protect her health.  The best protection is early detection!  Mothers, daughters, sisters, friends … celebrate the beauty in every woman!  MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT TODAY!
