MIX 94.1 FEATURED FIREWORKS EVENT
Fourth of July First Friday Event Downtown Canton @ Dusk

The City of Canton, Arts in Stark and the MAPS Air Museum will honor three WWII Vets!  Each is a combat veteran of the Pacific or European Theatre.  Join News-Talk 1480 WHBC's Gary Rivers -- your emcee -- at the main stage on Market Avenue beginning at 7pm.

The three veterans to be honored include:

Don Block
Army Air Corps Bomber Pilot in WWII, Europe.  Youngest B-26 Marauder Pilot. Flew 65 missions over France and Germany.

Bob Withee
Army Air Corps Fighter Pilot in WWII, Pacific.  Flew P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Mustang.  Shot down 4 Japanese Planes.

Ralph Lynn
Army Air Corps Bomber Pilot in WWII, Europe.  Flew B-24 Liberator.  Flew 32 missions over occupied France and Germany.  Flew 2 missions on D-Day.

The ceremony includes music from the era including Frank Sinatra and Andrew Sisters' classics.  The US Marine Corps League color guard will present the colors.  And all will join in singing "God bless the USA" in which various members of the armed forces and veterans in the audience will be featured.

New Wave Nation takes center stage 9pm-10pm ... and then look to the sky!  Fireworks go off at dusk from Bliss Tower at 3rd and Cleveland.
